The Ford finis number 1252609 is a glow plug relay for a 1.6 or 2.0 diesel not the 1.8 and on the 1.6 and 2.0 models it is down on the radiator cross member on the passenger side. I hope this helps but if I can assist further let me know and I'll reply as soon as I'm able to. Best wishes, Sean.
Disconnect the wire connector from the glow plug. Using a 10mm deep socket, with enough clearance as to not break or bend the wiring connector, unscrew the glow plug from the manifold. Place anti-seize on the threads of the glow plug and screw it into the manifold. Tighten the glow plug to 12 ft. lbs. (16 Nm).

Its probably a bad injector which leaks off too much fuel meaning that the pump can't provide enough pressure in the system to start up - suggest perhaps a leak off test on the injectors. Quote.

Posted November 8, 2012. The powertrain light (exclamation mark in a cog) keeps coming on in my '06 1.6 TDCi Focus. When it comes on it also goes into safe mode and drastically reduces the power. It's not dpf related as I had that little nightmare removed and the ecu reprogrammed a while back. I had it scanned a few weeks ago and the mechanic Hello. sadly the glow plug module isn't that smart to narrow down individual plugs. however. You can test the glow-plugs with a multimeter by measuring the resistance across the plug ( between the power connection and the body) it should be around 4-8ohms if its tending to infinity / open circuit the plug is faulty or by using a clip on current clamp, either on the supply wire to glow plugs or 74MwpbT.
