Just to say thanks to scoopz once more for the great work on highlighting the whole iPhone 3G contacts sync problem with BMW iDrive- nice work Neil. 🙂. I’ve just downloaded & installed firmware 2.2 & removed the additional fake 2000 contacts, leaving my original 200 contacts on the iPhone.
I am getting a "Drive Control System. Drive Moderately" message on the iDrive display and a yellow triangle with circle on the instrument cluster if I drive the car like 15-20 miles (on highway, local where ever). It is 2005 BMW 525i. The message goes off after a few minutes, but the yellow triangle remains (I think its a traction control
Basically it should work with any iDrive from gen 2 to gen 6 (aka NBT EVO). It no longer works with iDrive gen 7. If you do not have an access to the old BMW connected app in the app store, try googling BMW certified apps - you can load each of these apps onto your phone individually, and then access them through your BMW apps section under
