126 posts 路 Joined 2007. #13 路 Jul 28, 2007. I dropped my key in 6 inches of dirty stagnant water last night. It was submerged at least 5-10 seconds while i felt around for it in the water and mud. I had already unlocked the doors, but amazingly, it worked immediately locking, unlocking and starting the car.

Also, you have to be close when the last door closes, then walk away. Which door doesn't matter, it just depends on who has the fob in their pocket.

The passenger side and the trunk button still works fine and unlock and locks the car when I press them. I was wondering if anyone had experienced this before and how to fix it. It did rain heavily before it stopped
