Abby and friends all live at the WLF, which is easily the most well off community ever seen in the universe of TLOU. They are so comfy and safe that they are at war against another local community over land, a community that fights using literal sticks and stones. True, Abby's group has an abundance of everything. Abby lost her humanity when she lost her father, Ellie lost her last bit of humanity when she lost Joel and Joel lost his when he lost Sarah. This goes on for every character in both games. Everyone lost someone or something that more than likely made them a shell of their former selves. The whole TLOU2 cycle of revenge started with Abby’s father attempting to kill a child. Yes, you heard it right. That doctor was about to kill a child. He deserved every bullet. In fact, Abby should have been the first to stop him.
