2. Look at the “off” position. By default, the headlight controls will be switched to an “off” position. Note which symbol marks that position and where it lies along the dial so that you can turn the headlights off when you are finished. The “off” position is usually located to the far left or underside of the dial.
Switch to main (high) beam. There is a dashboard light for main beam which only works if the headlights are on. (I drive an International but I believe this is true for all the trucks.) Wait until nighttime and see if you can see anything in front of you. If you can, your lights are on.
5 days ago · The fog lights activate when using low beams; to turn them on, simply start the truck and press the “L” key or the corresponding shortcut for Low Beam. The illuminated distance provided by the fog lights remains the same as the truck’s headlights. I plan to change this in the future.
Okay. I tested it without headlights. Just to be sure. No headlights, and dim headlights, produce the same result. As you can get in serious trouble driving around with your brights on all the time where I live, I don't understand why you're expected to drive with your brights on all the time. Sure, brights allow you to see better.
